Os arqu\u00e9tipos de muitos dos nossos castelos da Reconquista s\u00e3o de car\u00e1cter mourisco e v\u00e1rias igrejas crist\u00e3s foram constru\u00eddas sobre mesquitas anteriores.<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><b><\/b><\/p>\n<h6><strong>O ambiente do convento<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>Tudo come\u00e7a, mais uma vez, na \u00e9poca da Reconquista, quando reis e ordens religiosas militares se uniram para p\u00f4r fim \u00e0 ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o dos &#8220;infi\u00e9is&#8221;. Desde as origens da Nacionalidade at\u00e9 ao s\u00e9culo XIX, primeiro com a ajuda dos militares, depois com a miss\u00e3o de evangelizar, educar e (nos tempos sombrios da Inquisi\u00e7\u00e3o) defender a f\u00e9 cat\u00f3lica ortodoxa, o Clero, ordenado e secular, tem desempenhado um papel muito importante na hist\u00f3ria do Alentejo. Durante s\u00e9culos, a Igreja e as ordens religiosas foram os principais propriet\u00e1rios de terras na regi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b> <\/b><\/p>\n<h6><strong>\u00c9vora, Patrim\u00f3nio Mundial da UNESCO<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>\u00c9vora \u00e9 o ponto de refer\u00eancia incontorn\u00e1vel para quem vem ao Alentejo inspirado pelo tema do Patrim\u00f3nio. Classificada pela UNESCO como Patrim\u00f3nio da Humanidade, \u00c9vora ocupa justamente um lugar de destaque em qualquer roteiro de Turismo Cultural.<\/p>\n<p>O seu patrim\u00f3nio arquitet\u00f3nico e art\u00edstico \u00e9 t\u00e3o omnipresente e impressionante que s\u00f3 por si orienta os passos de quem gosta de passear sem rumo fixo: do romano ao barroco, todas as \u00e9pocas da hist\u00f3ria est\u00e3o documentadas com obras que satisfazem plenamente o olhar e a alma.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b> <\/b><\/p>\n<h6><strong>Artes e of\u00edcios tradicionais<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>O artesanato alentejano est\u00e1 a mudar. J\u00e1 l\u00e1 vai o tempo em que se identificavam apenas com os rostos rugosos dos antigos mestres, que trabalhavam o barro, o ferro, o estanho, a madeira, a corti\u00e7a, o couro, o chifre, e com as m\u00e3os h\u00e1beis das mulheres que pintavam a lou\u00e7a do dia a dia, faziam rendas, bordados ou passavam horas intermin\u00e1veis em frente aos seus teares.<\/p>\n<p>Entre as Artes que est\u00e3o a estabelecer o direito a ter futuro, destacamos tr\u00eas: a cer\u00e2mica e a pintura e, finalmente, os t\u00eaxteis (os famosos tapetes de Arraiolos). O Alentejo depende tamb\u00e9m em grande medida dos seus recursos h\u00eddricos e foi por isso que se construiu o maior lago da Europa: o Alqueva, para assegurar a exist\u00eancia de um reservat\u00f3rio estrat\u00e9gico de \u00e1gua, bem como para permitir o regadio agr\u00edcola. As plan\u00edcies caracter\u00edsticas do Alentejo e a correspondente aus\u00eancia de barreiras orogr\u00e1ficas impedem a condensa\u00e7\u00e3o da humidade proveniente do oceano, negando uma influ\u00eancia atl\u00e2ntica mais marcada. No entanto, os poucos pontos orogr\u00e1ficos que surgem no Alentejo, s\u00e3o os principais respons\u00e1veis pela regula\u00e7\u00e3o e identidade das suas sub-regi\u00f5es vitivin\u00edcolas. \u00c9 curioso observar como potenciais problemas foram resolvidos pela natureza e pelas gentes do Alentejo. N\u00e3o admira que sejam t\u00e3o orgulhosos da sua cultura!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b> <\/b><\/p>\n<h6 class=\"p1\"><strong>Pelas terras m\u00e1gicas de Alqueva<\/strong><\/h6>\n<p>A imensa extens\u00e3o de \u00e1gua tem uma \u00e1rea de 250 km2, estende-se por mais de 80kms ao longo do curso do rio Guadiana e, com as suas mil enseadas, tem um per\u00edmetro de 1.160 kms.
