Start your Adventure

Leaving sunny Lisbon, you will arrive to a snail farm! After being warmly welcomed by the owner, you will learn about all the biological cycles of snails, from reproduction to their use in Portuguese cuisine, on this farm equipped with an agricultural greenhouse and irrigation systems by nebulizers, in order to guarantee the ideal conditions for the snails growing, In the meantime, you will do a workshop, with a snail picking experience, ending with a snail tasting!

After this, you will proceed to a regional restaurant where you will enjoy the freshest fish, seafood, DOP meats, wine, and delicious pastries. So, its time to sit back and enjoy the many Portuguese delicacies!

By the afternoon you will visit one historic winery, which has combined history with up-to-date technology, its vineyards and get the chance to taste their wines.

After this visit, we will continue to the small town of Escaroupim, a typical river fishing village founded by the Atlantic fisherman, who settled on the banks of the River Tagus, in an attempt to find better fishing conditions here. This village preserves the collective memory of these fishermen from Vieira de Leiria and here you will go for a very scenic boat ride on the Tagus River, passing by unique and secret places, only known by those who were born and live here!
