Lisbon Wine Region is a long, thin area running up beside the Atlantic. Wind is a strong feature beside the coast, however just a little way inland, a backbone of hill and mountain ranges offers protection from this Atlantic influence. Here we find a very special terroir, perfect to produce mineral and refreshing whites by the coast and top class reds, on the inland side! The Lisbon region has a long history in Portuguese viticulture. Here, wines with very different profiles are born. This is possible due to the diversity of land reliefs and microclimates, always with the close influence of the Atlantic which gives origin to elegant, fresh, and very balanced wines, with great aging potential. These wines, with temperate maritime influence, similar to the Bordeaux profile, are being more and more recognized not only in Portugal, but also internationally.

The region also Portugal’s only DOC region for classified brandy – Aguardente Vínica – from Lourinhã.

On this day, you will visit two small wine producers and taste their wine, in good company of the people who are devoted to making these products unforgettable memories!
