Wine and Tiles

Setúbal wine region area is mostly flat and sandy, except for the Serra da Arrábida, a small chain of mountains running along the south coast of the peninsula, where the soils are made of limestone or clay-limestone.

DOC Palmela is based on the late-ripening Castelão grape, which finds its perfect growing conditions on the sandy soils of Palmela, producing complex, elegant and fruity wines. As for the whites, they are usually very fresh and vibrant with iodine notes, an ideal company for the amazing fish and seafood of this region.

Your adventure begins with a leisurely drive through the beautiful Setúbal and Azeitão landscape. Then you will visit two traditional wine producers: here you will get to know and experience the famous Muscat from Setúbal, and the DOC wines of this region,

Lunch will be on a typical Setúbal or Sesimbra restaurant, where you will realize why Portugal has some of the best fish dishes in the world!

The tiles on Portuguese facades are ideal for a souvenir to your loved ones or to decorate your home so that you can always remember your stay in Portugal! During a very entertaining hand-on-experience, you will learn different techniques of ceramic tile painting.
