Wines in Arrábida Natural Park

With golden sand beaches and bright blue water, hidden among pine-covered hills and vineyards, Arrábida Natural Park is a hidden gem for nature lovers. In the Arrábida exotic woods, vineyards produce structured wines, with fruity flavours, made from Castelão grape and the very famous Moscatel Wine. All together, Arrábida is a balsam for your eyes.

Start your Adventure

You will start this exciting day with a visit to one of the oldest and famous winery in Setúbal, where we will taste the star red grape, Castelão. This variety dominates the fine red wines of Palmela, finding its perfect terroir in this region. You will also taste vibrant and fresh whites and, last but not least, the Moscatel varieties (white and purple) for a glorious end of your day in the Setúbal Wine Region.

Lunch in the Setúbal area and taste the fresh fish and seafood dishes, the delicious cheeses, and the conventual pastries of the region: the Cheese and Tortas de Azeitão. On this tour, we will visit 2 wineries and on the first one, you will be received by the owner who will take you through a visit to the vineyards, and barrel room ending with a fantastic wine and food pairing (regional products) on the tasting room.

The time has come for your fantastic regional lunch, where you will taste the fresh fish and seafood dishes, the delicious cheeses, and the conventual pastries of the region in the vicinity of the Atlantic.

We will proceed to one of the oldest wine producers for a tasting of the fortified wines and Doc Wines of Setubal. This winery is a secular house in the wine-growing sector and since 1910 it has been gaining solidity, and reliability, guaranteeing for three generations a place of excellence in the market.

The afternoon will end with a visit to the Arrábida Natural Park. The Park’s fine white sandy beaches alternate with the lush green mountain and the various blue tones of the Atlantic clear waters, creating a beautiful scenario, perfect for contemplative relaxation!
