Douro Valley, is one of the oldest and most beautiful European wine regions, becaming in 1756, the first wine region to be demarcated by law. Its vineyards were classified the following year, almost a century before of those in Bordeaux. In  2001, UNESCO recognized Douro Valley as World Heritage Site. During this full-day tour, you will feel the region with a wine expert and visit two well selected traditional wineries in Douro.

In Douro Valley, most of the vineyards grow native Portuguese grape varieties, and you will get to know and try wines made from Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Sousão, and many others.

You have the chance to walk among the vineyards that grow on the steep slopes, learn about Portuguese grapes varieties, and about the entire winemaking process.

You can also admire Pinhão, a village considered the heart of the Douro wine region and where  traditional wineries in Douro grow their grapes, admire the landscape from the top of one of the most beautiful viewpoints located in the region and enjoy the stunning views of the Valley and the river aboard a traditional Douro boat.
