We set off towards Viana do Castelo. Considered one of the most beautiful cities of Portugal, Viana is located in the mouth of Lima River and is famous for its architecture, civil and religious monuments.

You will visit the Historic Center and places like the Church of Mercy, the Citânia, and the Sanctuary of Santa Luzia. This beautiful neo-Byzantine temple has become a postcard image of Viana do Castelo for its magnificent architecture and location with incomparable views of the sea, the river, and the Seaport.

Lunch, always an integral part of the route, takes place in a typical restaurant, where you will taste Minho savoury gastronomy

The oldest town in Portugal awaits us, Ponte de Lima: this beautiful town located by Lima River. You will walk by its Medieval Bridge along the river, and get to know the Tower of the Old Jail, its Mother Church, and visit the International Garden Festival.

Returning to Porto by the late afternoon, you can be sure during this day you have seen beautiful landscapes, unusual architecture and the welcoming people of Minho!
