Avieiros is the name given to the fishermen from the West Atlantic Coast, which decided to settled in the calm Tagus river banks to try their luck as river fishermen, as a way to survive the Winter times.

Day begins with a visit to two of the best-known traditional wineries of the Tejo Wine Region. You will get to know and experience the full-bodied spicy reds from Ribatejo, mineral whites, and dazzling sparkling wines. These vineyards have predominantly Portuguese varieties such as the white Fernão Pires, or the reds with Trincadeira, Castelão or Touriga Nacional. Lately, some international varieties have been introduced and very interesting wines with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Petit Verdot are being produced.

For a delicious lunch, we will take you to a special regional restaurant, where you will be served the most delicious local gastronomy, properly paired with a great Ribatejo wine!
